Aran Wilkinson spends 14 minutes explaining how he heroically battled #IKEA sensors and #YAML to build the world's most over-engineered automations 🤖📉. Spoiler: he discovered that when life gives you a complex home setup, you probably shouldn't rely on furniture store tech and expect type safety. 🛋️🔧

🎉 Ah, the age-old tale of saving the world with... a file system and some USB sticks! 🌍🔌 Because clearly, when humanity needs a hero, it looks to #ZFS and a keychain's worth of storage. 🤦‍♂️ Bravo, Constantin, bravo. 🏆

Hilarious - played a game of Rocket League earlier (competitive, 3x3). One of my team dropped out when we went to 1-2. The second dropped out when we went to 2-3. Played the last 2 minutes by myself as 1x3 and WON 4-3. Shame I didn’t get the scores from the cowards added to my score because I bloody deserved them.

(me winning is more a reflection on the opponents being useless than me being good - there were a couple of occasions where I was flanked and they were clear on goal but managed to spaff it up.)

One of the points made in the book I'm reading is that archaeologists have tended to dismiss the evidence for women-led societies in their work, that there is good evidence for it in places.

I started imagining the artist painting a real scene, had me a little chuckle. "Could you get the cobra to move a little to the left? I'm sorry, MY left, YOUR right. Perfect. Let me adjust the hair-blowing fan." 😆
