Today marks the 160th anniversary of #Juneteenth, celebrating the day when Black folks in Galveston, Texas, found out that they had been freed from slavery.
All I am asking for today and the balance of the weekend is that White folk with surplus/excessive funds consider donating to Black folks out of respect for the use of their labor and bodies for profit and entertainment.
It could mean saving a life or three.
