In Hell's Paradise Season 2 Episode 12, we learn that Gabimaru is actually a title, not a name. And this actually makes a lot of sense when you consider Iwagakure is all about the collective, not the individual.

Shion commits the rest of his life to protecting Nurugai and giving her a better future in Hell's Paradise Season 2 Episode 12. However, I think this is only setting his death flag. I don't see him making it off the island.
