This evening plunged into Brian Aldiss's #Helliconia! A scientific planetary romance that chronicles human (and other) civilizations rising and falling on a twin-starred planet whose seasons last millennia.

I normally post about sff on my other account but Helliconia has so much nature and biology and climate change in it that it feels appropriate to recommend here too.
