The Mitochondrial Origins of the Hellenistic Individuals of Ayasuluk Hill

They then used online programs to analyze the results of the sequencing. The maternal haplogroups of the individuals were determined to belong to the T2b group, which is of European origin. The researchers also observed that one of the individuals had died from a possible injury caused by a sharp object. The results of this study provide important information about the people who lived in the ancient city of Ephesus and the history of the city, which changed hands frequently during the Wars of the Diadochi.
