It's taking me forever to get through #AcresOfClams! Taking notes, remembering folks. I had first seen Dr. #HelenCaldicott speak back in 1976 (and interviewed with her for a job years later in 1990). And #HarveyWasserman! Seeing them speak and being part of the #ClamshellAlliance were instrumental in making me an activist! So grateful I had a "big sister and big brother" who took me to meetings and rallies! They were some good people!

Confession time... I had a corporate job for a while in the 1990s (after I didn't get a job with #IPPNW, but got to meet #HelenCaldicott and #MichioKaku). At that corporate job, I learned html code, how to break into firewalls, and got to know coders from many countries (including #Pakistan and #China). And what was the most important lesson for me? Is that we are all HUMAN BEINGS living on PLANET EARTH! And also that corporations are inherently EVIL and cannot be reformed. They are all about advertising and greenwashing (yes, even back in the 1990s). I was laid off because I called out a CEO on his BULLSHIT (and oddly enough, not fired -- because probably he knew I was right). Anyhow, I thought I could change things from within. I did learn a lot about hacking and made a stink. But yeah. My soul still hurts from that stint.

This is astounding: physician suspended for climate protests. By contrast: consider #HelenCaldicott, Aussie anti-nuclear physician. 21 honorary degrees. Victorian Honour Roll of Women. Australian Peace Prize. Maybe time will show how egregious this is.

Another fun fact about me. I met Drs #HelenCaldicott and #MichioKaku while interviewing for a job at International Physicians for the Prevention of #NuclearWar (#IPPNW). I didn't get the job, but I did get to meet two amazing humans!
