Over 2.5 Million Afghanis Distributed to 240 Families Affected by #Heavy_Rains in #Maidan_Wardak

With support from the #Danish_Red_Cross, the ##ARCS distributed AFN 2,520,000 in #cash_assistance to 240 families in Maidan Shar, the provincial capital, and Narkh District of Maidan Wardak Province.

The families which were affected by recent rains, each one of them received 10,500 Afghanis.

This assistance aims to help meet their #basic_needs and alleviate their most urgent difficulties.

The ARCS consistently strives to support disaster-affected families and #respond promptly to their needs.

#Emergency_Temporary_Shelter Assistance Provided to Rainfall-Affected Family in #Helmand

The #ARCS provided emergency non-food assistance consisting of four items to a family in Haji Alam Gul village, Garmsir District, Helmand Province, who suffered financial and personal losses due to #heavy_rains and the collapse of their house roof. This aid was given to help provide temporary shelter.

The #assistance included one tent, two tarpaulins, six blankets, and five water jerrycans.

Guided by its seven fundamental principles, the ARCS considers supporting people affected by natural and man-made disasters as its core and primary responsibility.
