Interesting, it's an IC that generates the tone... Resistors are 100K pots. Wonder if the resistance in this path is off.. I guess only a few things to check (3 pots, 27K 1/2W resistor, 3300 ohm, 1/2 watt resistor should be the only ones. .05uF cap shouldn't influence things that much. #hamradio #heathkit

The fix was easy! Apparently the microphone on these is powered by a 9V battery. Annoying, but easy fix. #hamradio #heathkit
