Took our aspiring teenage theater nerd to see the off-Broadway performance of Heathers The Musical yesterday. (She is aspiring to be a theater nerd, that is. The teenage part is happening all by itself.)

Apart from the 80s cult movie it's based upon, I didn't know much about it and so arrived expecting a slightly remixed version of "Mean Girls". Wound up being delighted by a totally stellar performance with a great cast who really brought it all together in the second act. (When the truly knockout songs from supporting cast members like the gay dads, the teacher, and Martha Dunnstock arrive.)

At New World Stages on 50th St (between 8th and 9th) at least until the end of May. Time well spent!

- it has one of my fave films, Heathers (1989) (with English audio option)

- the Spanish title translates as "Fatal Attraction" 😁
