I left something at my clarinet teacher's house, so instead of a proper ligature I have resorted to elastic bands. It kind of works. It really shouldn't.

It only happened because he was trying different mouthpieces, barrels and ligatures. The difference in sound quality means I'm making a trip to a music shop on Saturday, not sure yet if it's for a new mouthpiece or a new clarinet.
