Today, on March 3, 2025, we observe World Hearing Day, a significant occasion dedicated to raising awareness about ear and hearing health. This year's theme, "Changing mindsets: Empower yourself to make ear and hearing care a reality for all!", emphasizes the importance of recognizing and addressing common misconceptions about hearing loss.

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘆

- Over 5% of the global population (approximately 430 million people) require rehabilitation for disabling hearing loss.
- A staggering 80% of those affected live in low- and middle-income countries, often lacking access to essential services.
- Untreated hearing loss poses significant health risks and costs around $98 billion annually.
