I successfully replaced the battery but ripped off TWO of the usb pads while trying to take off the old micro usb connector. Was basicly a lost cause after that. Couldn’t get a reliable connection with my old TS80 iron.

I love the fact that #AirPodsPro can be used as #HearingAids, but have you ever tried setting them up for a 92-year old technophobe who has already lost most of their hearing?

“Are they in all the way?”

“Huh?”

“ARE THEY IN ALL THE WAY?”

“How do I know?”

“Are they comfortable?”

“Huh?”

I can’t run the hearing test for them because the app says that both AirPods need to be in. How can I troubleshoot when the person can’t even hear me?

Apple AirPods added hearing assist recently. Maybe you already have hearing aids, but sometimes prefer better audio quality and/or noise cancellation of airpods. It's easy to add your hearing results and use the airpods for hearing assist and to tune to better match ear's frequency response.
With airpods in, tap their entry in the phone's settings app, click Hearing Assistant, then near bottom of page Update Hearing Results. Apple has their own test you can take, but if you've got one from audiologist click Add Hearing Test Result then you can scan paper results with camera, or manually add by opening photo/file of results, or even typing in the numbers.
