We must decouple healthcare from profit! The fact that private companies are denying us life-saving #vaccines because doing so is no longer profitable for them speaks to how fundamentally broken the US system is. #HealthcareIsAHumanRight , and our ability to access it should not depend on the whims of #MAHA secretaries or #pharma CEOs.

I want you to force a vote on the ACA tax credit extension. We are the only developed nation in the world that allows its citizens to do without necessary healthcare. We are the only developed nation in the world that forces people into debt to pay for necessary healthcare.

Put a small band-aid on the problem now, then please be very clear and very detailed about your healthcare plan for this nation. Please be bold and inclusive and give us real solutions.

A recent Kaiser Family Foundation Poll found that three in ten households say they or a family member had problems paying for health care in the past 12 months. 41% of adults reported having debt due to medical or dental bills including debts owed to credit cards, collections agencies, family and friends, banks, and other lenders.

According the Congressional Budget Office, 20% of healthcare costs are spent on overheard -- prior authorizations, claims denials and negotiations, marketing, and profits.

I want you to talk about your plan to make healthcare available and affordable for everyone. How are you going to eliminate the gatekeepers who do not contribute to the health of anyone but instead extract profit?

We want everyone to have affordable, quality healthcare.

Between the (likely) expiration of the Affordable Care Act enhanced subsidies, cuts to Medicaid and Medicare, and the decade-long efforts to undermine and dismantle the ACA, the casualties and costs of our current healthcare system continue to grow as Americans continue to wait for a better option. Nearly 45,000 Americans aged 17-65 die each year due to lack of insurance, a number that could rise to over 51,000 preventable deaths in the coming years.

I would like you to hit the healthcare issue in detail every day, in every speech, in every media appearance until Congress comes up with a comprehensive healthcare plan that serves all Americans, not just the insurance companies and the rich.
