@nigelrampant @upbristol I presented a concert by Byard Lancaster at #Haverford college, on a bill with JJ Jumpers, a #blackrockcoalition band, who had #PFunk’s Bernie Worrell and Michael Hampton as special guests.

While at Haverford I also took a class in the music of #FrankZappa. Changed my life.

My personal musical history is intertwined with #LivingColour. I saw them open for #BillyBragg at #MyFathersPlace in 1986 or so and booked them to play at #Haverford in 1987 when they were still unsigned. A black squirrel has adopted out backyard. Surprises me every time I see it. And it is especially fun as it’s the mascot of #Haverford college where I work as an #astronomy #physics #astrophysics professor.
