The Legacy of Martyr Nasrallah and the Zionist Massacre That Won’t Crush Resistance
The latest Zionist massacre in Lebanon, orchestrated by Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), was an indiscriminate attack leading to the murder of hundreds of Lebanese civilians. This terrorist act, veiled by Western officials as military operations, involved merciless bombings targeting residential buildings in Beirut’s densely populated southern suburbs. At least ten civilian apartment buildings were flattened, with civilian casualties likely in the hundreds, exceeding 700 lives murdered in less than a week. This massacre marks another heinous crime against humanity and a dark chapter in the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
This atrocity was not merely a local directive; it bore the imprint of US-led international complicity. Netanyahu ordered this massacre during his visit to the UN Headquarters in New York City, implicating the United Nations as a base for IOF operations. The decision originated in New York, implicating Washington in collaboration with the Zionists. Indicted by the International Criminal Court (ICC), Netanyahu should have been immediately arrested. Instead, UN officials allowed him to plan and execute attacks from New York while taking the UN stage to consider the Axis of Resistance: Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen “the curse,” erasing Palestine’s existence. This attack, rubber-stamped by the US, was described by Lebanese journalist Hasan Illaik as “a war on all supporters of the Palestinian people,” marking the start of another annihilation war.
The timing of the directive, given shortly after Netanyahu’s UN speech, confirms US involvement, especially with the simultaneous announcement of an $8.7 billion aid package to Israel. This financial support and enabling, despite Israel and Netanyahu’s defiance against the US’ inadequate calls for a ceasefire underscores the despicable partnership between US policy and Israeli military strikes. As Nasrallah warned before he was martyred in the attacks on Beirut, “Israel has fully committed to an all-out war,” with recent raids marking a dangerous escalation.
Martyr Nasrallah’s death signifies a profound loss, underscoring his dedication to the Palestinian cause. His sacrifice echoes the enduring struggle of peoples and nations supporting Palestine. Nasrallah refused to separate his support for Palestine from resistance against US/Israeli occupation. The massacre reveals IOF’s desperation, as eliminating resistance leaders has never led to military success. “You can kill a revolutionary, but you can never kill the revolution,” Fred Hampton famously stated, emphasizing the spirit of resistance.
Nasrallah’s legacy is one of solidarity and resilience. His actions inspired many across the region to remain principled against the occupation, fostering a support network transcending borders. His leadership was crucial in bolstering resistance unity. Nasrallah’s firm support for Yemen against the war waged by Saudi Arabia and Western forces was one of his most honorable decisions. He supported the occupied Palestinians until he paid with his life.
The martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has sent shockwaves across the region. Leaders and nations declared periods of mourning, reflecting respect and admiration for his contributions. Iraq’s Prime Minister declared three days of mourning, as did Yemen’s Head of the Supreme Political Council and Syria. In Iran, Sayyed Ali Khamenei declared five days of public mourning. These gestures highlight unity among those standing against the occupation, reaffirming their commitment to resistance.
As the Lebanese people and the resistance community mourn, we find renewed strength in Nasrallah’s martyrdom. It is a catalyst that will galvanize resistance, inspiring new generations. The path of resistance is arduous but paved with sacrifices, like Nasrallah’s, for justice and liberation. His martyrdom stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of resistance.
In this dark hour, the call to resist US-led imperialism in West Asia remains unyielding. Shaheed General Hassan Nasrallah’s martyrdom will strengthen the resistance’s spirit, inspiring more fighters. “We will complete this path, even if we are all killed, even if we are all martyred, even if our homes are destroyed over our heads, we will never abandon the path of Islamic resistance,” Nasrallah once said, highlighting unwavering commitment to the cause. Resistance against the Zionist enemy will continue whenever leaders become martyrs, succeeded by a new generation resolute in defeating this enemy.
His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, joined his martyr comrades. While we feel the pain of losing a prominent figure, we take pride in his legacy. He inspired fighters, cadres, and leaders to walk the path of martyrdom for Palestine.
This crime, along with all other occupation crimes, will only strengthen resistance in Lebanon and Palestine. “By murdering our secretary-general, Sayyed Abbas Mussawi, they sought to kill our spirit of resistance and destroy our will for jihad. But his blood will continue to simmer in our veins, only strengthening our determination to move forward and intensifying our enthusiasm to pursue the path,” Nasrallah said when the prior Hezbollah leader was martyred.
We echo the sentiments of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party: “This is the path of jihad, where Allah honors His devoted servants with either victory or martyrdom. Sayyed Nasrallah’s life was filled with victories, concluding with the victory of martyrdom. The enemy will not succeed in uprooting our people’s connection to their land and resistance.”
Farewell to the noblest leader. You lived as a hero and will live as a legend of resistance forever in our hearts and minds. With you, we triumphed, liberated lands, deterred the enemy, crushed terrorism, and walked the path to Palestine.
Former Lebanese President Emile Lahoud commented: “Sayyed Nasrallah had long awaited this moment, joining the ranks of martyrs. We promise to uphold this commitment, just as generations have followed his leadership.”
Under his leadership, Hezbollah became stronger. His leadership supported the Palestinian resistance. Nasrallah articulated, “America will remain the primary enemy of this nation and the greatest Satan of all. Israel will forever be, in our eyes, a cancerous growth that must be eradicated, an artificial entity that should be removed, even if all the rulers of the world recognize it. Palestine—all of Palestine—will remain part of this nation, and we shall not relinquish a single grain of its sand.“
Lebanon is paying the price of supporting Palestine with actions. This is the price Syria, Yemen, Iran, and Iraq have paid. Hezbollah leaders have sacrificed their lives for Palestine.
Ismail Haniyeh, Sheikh Saleh Al-Arouri, and Hassan Nasrallah were killed while liberating Palestine. But the movement continues. “When we win, we win. And when we are martyred, we win. We are on the verge of a great victory,” Nasrallah said last week.
We will not be defeated, broken, or retreat. The movement carrying Nasrallah’s doctrine will advance toward liberating Al-Quds and Palestine.
“Peace cannot be unilateral. So long as there is imperialism in the world, a permanent peace is impossible.” -Hassan Nasrallah

Remembering Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah- The ‘Sayyed’ of Resistance and Liberation
The 27th of September, 2025, marks the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who embraced martyrdom from a cowardly and dastardly Zionist attack. A cleric, politician, orator, motivator, and third secretary general of the socio-political movement, Hezbollah in Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah’s legacy reveals much more than the official roles he assumed. He was a symbol of resistance and defiance in the Middle East, where “Israel” has been given a free license to commit egregious crimes against humanity and murder innocent civilians in Gaza and beyond. He countered western hegemony and Israeli aggression with strategic tact, dexterity, wisdom, and dedication, and his martyrdom elicited mass mourning across Lebanon and Palestine, where he was lionized as a hero. History will count him as one of the most powerful and popular men in the region, with many lessons, takeaways, and reflections for current generations and beyond.
Beyond Narratives- A Principled and Benign Warrior
To the fascists, Zionists, and hatemongers, Hassan Nasrallah will always be an enemy as he stood against expansionist designs and criminal agendas of ethnic cleansing, genocide, and apartheid perpetrated by the United States, “Israel” and its allies.
However, nothing is further from the truth. Born in the residential, industrial, and commercial area of Bourj Hammoud in Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah was a pan-Arab freedom fighter who joined resistance forces to repel the Israeli invasion of Lebanon the same year. His leadership during the 2006 Israeli war on Lebanon was also outstanding as he countered Zionists keeping innocent civilians in Israeli prisons amid torture, maiming, and inhumane conditions, and sought to deter Israel from committing crimes. He successfully stood up against the mayhem, mobilized populations, and tackled a draconian military machinery, resulting in a victory for both Hezbollah and Lebanon and humiliation for the fascist Israeli regime.
His tactical victories on the battlefield are complemented by Hezbollah’s irrefutable status as a socio-political movement in Lebanon. His leadership has ensured that the group is active in the country’s political landscape and is recognized as a socio-political movement, deeply entrenched in Lebanese society, with a strong constituency and a vocal voter base. Under Sayyed Nasrallah’s leadership, Hezbollah also managed to pursue balanced relationships with all regional states while catering to internal dynamics underpinning internal factions in Lebanon, such as ideological differences. This indicates political maturity, a pursuit of accommodative policies, and an unwavering commitment to people-centric democracy as opposed to unilateral policymaking, which has been a feature of “Israel” and the United States.
Sayyed Nasrallah’s tactical genius in defending the territorial sovereignty of Lebanon and the Arab world coincides with his charismatic leadership. He appealed to the impoverished, marginalized, and disadvantaged segments of societies in Yemen, Palestine, and Lebanon and shaped narratives on revolutions, resistance, and defiance to address their plight. His advocacy for the poor was also apolitical and went beyond ethnicities, religions, or cultures. The Lebanese Christian community, for example, respected him for his integrity, work ethic, humility, and accessibility, while many Sunni Muslims also lauded him as a respectable figurehead who stood up for the downtrodden. No more is his unwavering commitment to egalitarianism more evident than in his fierce resistance to the neocolonial project of “Israel”. “Israel’s” exploitation of the oppressed, the occupied, and the subjugated stood in stark contrast to Sayyed Nasrallah’s advocacy of freedom and popular sovereignty.
It is hence unsurprising that even Sayyed Nasrallah’s opponents did not contest his incorruptibility, personal humility, and discipline as he lived a frugal lifestyle and connected with the masses to ensure that the collective good prevails over personal gain. These factors, coupled with Hezbollah’s commitment to public welfare with educational institutions, hospitals, news services, and stipends, underline Sayyed Nasrallah’s people-centric vision.
These irrefutable facts challenge the preconceived notions promoted by the United States, “Israel” and its allies regarding his legacy. The truth is that in a region where unilateralism and international law were and are being brazenly violated despite the presence of the UN Charter, figures such as Sayyed Nasrallah stood out as resistors, trendsetters, and liberators of the Muslim Ummah and humanity overall. His aversion to Western designs, such as the Trump administration incentivizing Arab nations to normalize with “Israel”, normalize the occupation in Palestine, and normalize apartheid, has resulted in him openly challenging the neo-con agendas of Tel Aviv and Washington D.C., who wanted to whitewash “Israel’s” nefarious activities.
For the youth in the Arab world who continue to witness barbarity from the Zionists and require inspiration to address the plight of the Palestinians, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s legacy stands out. His discipline, unwavering commitment to Arab, Muslim, and humanitarian causes, and resistance appeals to the Arab youth fed up with rhetoric and lack of action, act as an ideal template to follow to ensure that Palestine is free and the region is safe from toxic ideologies. The resistance literature of Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon will also bear witness to Sayyed Nasrallah’s contributions for those growing up listening to his speeches and those who have plenty to impart to later generations.
In essence, Sayyed Nasrallah’s legacy cannot be forgotten.
This first anniversary of his martyrdom underlines how he became the ‘Sayyed’ of the people, Palestine, the region, and the world.

Resistance Supporters Light Raouche Rock to Honor Martyr Sayyed Nasrallah
Lebanese Resistance Hezbollah’s supporters lit up Beirut’s iconic Raouche Rock on Thursday evening with the images of the movement’s two fallen secretary-generals, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, remembered by supporters as the “leaders of the martyrs of the nation,” and his successor Sayyed Hashem Safieddine.
Large crowds from across Lebanon gathered along the capital’s western coastline to commemorate the anniversary of their martyrdom. The annual remembrance comes nearly one year after Sayyed Nasrallah was assassinated on September 27, 2024, and just days before Sayyed Safieddine was assassinated on October 3, 2024.
Hezbollah’s Media Relations Department had earlier called for a gathering at Beirut’s Raouche area, which included a maritime display, the lighting of the Lebanese flag, and the projection of the martyrs’ images on the towering seaside landmark. The rock, a natural and touristic symbol of the capital, became the backdrop for a moment of collective remembrance.
Crowds chanted in unison and waved flags as the illumination turned Raouche Rock into a glowing tribute.
Resistance remains steadfast
In a landmark address commemorating the first anniversary of the martyrdom of senior Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Aqil and his comrades in the Radwan Force, Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem reaffirmed the steadfastness of the Resistance and called on the entire region, from governments to peoples, to recognize the existential threat posed by the Israeli entity.
Sheikh Qassem began his speech by paying tribute to the martyred commander Hajj Abdul Qader, eulogizing him as a pivotal figure in the Islamic Resistance. “Martyr Abdul Qader stood against the 1982 invasion, was in charge of central training in the early 1990s, fought in the Ansariya operation, and was one of the leaders of the 2006 war,” he said.
He also recalled martyr Aqil’s participation in the Syrian front, particularly in Qusayr and Qalamoun, and highlighted his long-standing role as deputy to the Ummah’s martyr, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, since 2008. “We draw lessons from the stances of martyr Abdul Qader and recognize his great sacrifices for the liberation of land, sovereignty, and independence,” Qassem noted.
The Resistance will stand tall against all odds
He concluded with a reaffirmation of the Resistance’s path: “This Resistance will remain steadfast with its head held high, despite Israel, despite America, because it is the Resistance of martyrs, of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, of Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, of Abdul Qader, and many others.”
“The Resistance’s supporters remain firm in their commitment to its weapons because they have seen with their own eyes the fruits of liberation, deterrence, and national presence.”
“We engage in dialogue from a position of strength,” he said, adding that the Resistance’s stance is rooted in sacrifice and unwavering faith in the right to confront and expel the occupier. He emphasized that Hezbollah would accept nothing short of full liberation and is ready to face all challenges to maintain its honor and independence.
