The primary goal of the resistance in the #HarryPotter franchise was not to question the roots of fascism and create an egalitarian society based on needs and abilities of everyone, but to restore the previous exclusive liberal order, including slavery. In the end the main character decides to become a cop. Of all the things one could do with magic, he decides that his priority is to make sure the elite of wizards remains unbothered by their nonmagical fellow humans.
Maybe HP was an anti-fascist book. But it was not a good one.
Écoutez les gens, je comprends l'envie de rester dans un fandom pour lequel vous avez d'excellents souvenirs, dans lequel vous avez grandi. Y a des amitiés que vous vous êtes faites autour, tout ça. Ok c'est humain, c'est normal.
Mais l'autrice utilise son argent pour aller financer l'offensive transphobe. Tous les sous qui vont à un projet Harry Potter, livres, films, séries, jeux vidéos, objets, etc., une partie lui revient et sa fortune est directement utilisée pour détruire des gens.
Alors maintenant la règle c'est : PAS UN SOU POUR HARRY POTTER.
Si vous ne pouvez pas lâcher pour raisons émotionnelles perso, je ne juge pas, mais je vous invite à découvrir les millions de fanfics qui existent à la place. Y en a même beaucoup avec des persos trans. Si vous êtes vidéo et pas écriture, mettez-vous au piratage.
On veut que tous les projets soient des échecs financiers retentissants. Parce que tous ces projets, tous, financent l'offensive transphobe.

Hey I'm seeing a couple more references to JKR being in the Epstein files going around and wanted to share Council of Geeks' videos on the topic once more because I think it's kind of important we don't overstate our case on this.
To summarise, JKR is awful and actively using the money she's given to destroy trans lives, and nobody anywhere should be buying or promoting or generating buzz about her works by now, in any way. But the claim that she was meaningfully connected to Epstein doesn't hold up and claiming that she was hurts our credibility.
This is kind of a subtoot? but intended in a "yes, but" and a "I don't wanna get all up in anyone's face in particular about this" way. I hope that's okay. I agree with 99% of stuff I've seen folks here say on the topic of JKR and That Franchise.
