Mind you, these name fields are *optional*, and (supposedly) aren't even stored on their servers, so it makes even less sense for them to enforce any rules for them, and not just use a single 'display name' field.
Let's see if this #Feedback submitted through #Niantic's support bot for #HarryPotter #WizardsUnite will make their #MinistryID #namingPolicy more inclusive by allowing the use of a #mononym without workarounds such as including a period.

I did go out to play a bit of #Niantic's #mobileGaming titles (#Ingress, #PokémonGO, #HarryPotterWizardsUnite) as part of my #dailyExercise walk. The weather was nice; not too cold and less windy than it has been the past days. Still, the surface was dangerously slippery.
I'm glad I got a pair of #piggSko (shoes with metal knobs, sort of spikes) two or so years ago at a #BlackFriday sale. They're getting kinda worn down though; several spikes are missing / eroded, so I should look for new ones.
Anyway, with #BeardGrabber asleep next to his mum in the bedroom, maybe I can get a bit of #dailyExercise as well as a late hack in #Ingress and perhaps hunt for a #Mimikyu costume #Pikachu in #PokémonGO :)
I'll probably also have #HarryPotterWizardsUnite register its 250m walked #dailies, even though I don't really play that game anymore.

@brownpau yeah, #HarryPotterWizardsUnite definitely has a higher spawn rate. The gameplay was fun the first weeks, but unfortunately I find it turns quickly into a #DailyGrind, especially without a Fortress nearby to do wizarding challenges.
While you won't really benefit from long distance friends (apart from the x number of friends achievement you can unlock) as you can't do wizarding challenges together, feel free to add me. My code should be easy to find via the hashtag. :)
