I attended the #Harris_Walz2024 video call yesterday. It was so good to see them and hear their words of encouragement. They encouraged everyone to keep working in whatever way they could. The #DNC has a website full of action to take (including a #BookClub 🥰). The best part of the call for me was #KamalaHarrisVP telling us to never let anyone ever take our power.
We fight on. Let's get this right.
Don't know what it's about, but I want to hear what VP Harris and Gov. Walz have to say:
Latest 48.26% - D | 49.94% - R
💡No "mandate" and whatever they want to call it (always hated the "mandate" talk no matter who claimed it), the influence is slipping. Harris is now trailing by only 1.68% of the vote.
💡In a population of 335 Million people (understanding 'people' includes children and ineligible voters, along with suppressed voters, which should NEVER happen but has, on steroids, since 2016), approx. 155 Million people voted.
💡Only 5 popular vote winners in our nation's history have won by smaller percentage margins.
💡Trump still got the swing states (huge loss), but pulled in less votes than Biden, Obama, Obama, G W Bush, G H W Bush, Reagan, and Reagan. (I mean, Nixon got 60.7% -- now, THAT'S a mandate --> and, yes, I hate myself for just having used that word.)

#harris_walz2024 did not have a chance to win this #election.
In 2016, #Trump tested if he could win an election using Facebook, in 2024 he used other social media platforms.
Liberal #Democracy is not possible any more.

The commentators are now Monday morning quarterbacking. I hate that; like they all knew. They didn't know. They don't know now.
I'm certain there are many factors that contributed to this, but two factors I am certain of: racism and misogyny.
On misogyny, I will never understand the fragility of men and women of every race and ethnicity who cannot abide a strong, capable woman, to the point that you jeopardize and sacrifice your own. I cannot forgive any of you for that.
