Further to my recent post on having two poems published in the anti-Trump What Rough Beast anthology, I am pleased to write that one of these poems, “Where Donald J. Trump has been Jumping the Shark” (about the January 6 Capitol attack), has been selected by the publisher, Culture Matters (UK), as one of their four ‘sample’ poems from the anthology that they will use in their ongoing marketing of the volume.
This is a bit of a coup – if you will excuse the pun – and an international boost for my work, so I’m appropriately humbled.
“Where Donald J. Trump has been Jumping the Shark” was first published on January 6, 2023 at The Five-Two (with thanks to editor @sogerald ). The poem also appears in my recently published collection After Spruce.
With thanks to Culture Matters editors Merryn, Mike and especially Rip, you can read the poem and three other poems from What Rough Beast here:
