The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has warned the private sector and all traders that no commercial dealings or contracts should be made with 17 companies operating in the petroleum sector that have violated existing laws and principles.

These companies include Farid Ahmad Ghaznavi, Arif Aziz Farahi, Ariana Holding, Shukur Hamdard, Mohammad Naeem Nurzai, Taban Zaranj, Baradaran Watanwal, and Khalid Muzammil, among others. The relevant authority has given these 17 companies one month to complete the incomplete customs procedures for importing petroleum products.

The source states that after the allotted time expires, the announced companies will not be permitted to proceed with the import stages at customs and will not have the right to import.

Previously, the Standards and Quality Agency stated that it strictly monitors imported goods at all ports and will not show any leniency in preventing the entry of harmful goods.

The National Agency for Preparedness and Response to Disasters says that food and essential aid has been distributed to 500 displaced families in Nangarhar due to attacks by the Pakistani military regime.

The agency added that the aid was distributed in the important Mohmandara, Lal Pur, and Goshta districts of the province, with the financial support of a partner organization.

Each family received approximately 6,000 Afghanis and a carton of food items, with a total value of 2.9 million Afghanis.

He emphasized that both parties should ensure the provision of consular services to their citizens, and the Afghan government is fully prepared in this regard.

Meanwhile, Khalilzad praised the Islamic Emirate’s move and underscored the importance of continued discussions on all issues between the two countries, expressing hope for further progress in the future.

The World Health Organization's representative in Afghanistan, Dr. Edwin Siniza, has stated that tuberculosis, or TB, remains a persistent disease that continues to threaten the health of many Afghans.

The National Development Company has stated that 98 percent of the second phase of the Qosh Tape Canal project has been completed and will soon be put into operation.

Company spokesperson Nabiullah Arghandwal said that work on the canal’s dams has progressed more than 90 percent.

He added that construction of 25 bridges and water control facilities along the canal’s length is also proceeding rapidly and will be completed in the near future.

The second phase of the Qosh Tape Canal is 177 kilometers long.

The Qosh Tape Canal project is one of the country’s major projects, and upon completion, it will not only increase water resources but also promote agriculture and create new job opportunities in various regions.
