The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA)’s acting head of the regional office, Tabitha, met with Governor Mullah Khairullah Khairkhah of Maidan Wardak and discussed various topics.
According to a press release from the governor’s office, during the meeting, Tabitha discussed the circumstances of her visit to Maidan Wardak, as well as debated solutions to problems in the health, education, industry, trade, and media sectors.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Maidan Wardak praised UNAMA’s efforts to resolve the people’s problems and assured them of all possible cooperation.

U.S. President Donald Trump has said that if an agreement is not reached with Iran and the Strait of Hormuz is not opened to trade, he will begin widespread attacks on Iran's energy facilities.
He wrote on his social media platform "Truth Social" that the United States is in the process of serious negotiations with Iran's new leadership to end U.S. military operations.
According to him, there have also been significant advances in the negotiations.
However, Iranian officials have stated that they have not begun any negotiations with the United States.

Afghan security forces have prevented the smuggling of 92 kilograms of gold and 1 million Pakistani rupees to Pakistan in the "Mazgali" area of the Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province.
The gold and money were discovered and seized by forces from the Kandahar Sixth Border Regiment.
It is worth noting that similar attempts to smuggle various goods to Pakistan have been prevented in the past.

The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nuruddin Azizi, held discussions with the Governor of Uzbekistan's Namangan region, Shukhrat Abduraimov, and his delegation regarding the development and strengthening of trade and economic relations between Kabul and Tashkent.
During the meeting, the Governor of Namangan provided information about the capabilities of the region's business community in the production and industrial sectors.
He discussed joint ventures in pharmaceutical production and exports, poultry farming and training, joint investment in Afghanistan's precious and semi-precious stone sector, agricultural machinery and irrigation systems, and cooperation in that area.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Industry and Commerce expressed readiness to prepare a joint market for the products and goods of both countries in collaboration with Uzbekistan.
He stated that Afghanistan's private sector is committed to joint ventures in the construction of refrigerated warehouses, agricultural and medical product factories in Uzbekistan's provinces.
During the meeting, an invitation was extended to the Afghan private sector and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce's delegation to participate in Uzbekistan's annual historical festival to identify trade opportunities.

Iranian media reports that six members of an Afghan family have been killed in attacks by the United States and the Zionist regime on Iran.
It is said that the attacks occurred in the city of Rey, where four Iranian citizens also lost their lives in addition to the Afghans.
Previously, reports of casualties among Afghans have also been received in attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran.

According to a report by the Washington Post, citing American officials, the U.S. Department of Defense, or Pentagon, is preparing for ground operations against Iran.
The report states that U.S. special forces will also be involved in operations within Iranian territory as part of these ground operations.
American officials told the Washington Post that it is not yet clear whether President Trump will approve these plans.
This comes after American media previously reported that the U.S. has deployed thousands of special forces to the Middle East for a potential ground war in Iran.
Military experts believe that America's advantage in a war with Iran lies primarily in its air force; if its ground forces enter Iran, they may be defeated on the battlefield by Iranians.

Herat’s provincial officials report that 580 passenger vehicles stranded due to flooding in the Zawal district of the province have been rescued.
Herat Governor's spokesperson, Muhammadyوسف سعیدي (Muhammad Yusuf Saeedi), says the incident occurred today in the “Bar Lakshak” area of the district, where the vehicles were stranded.
According to him, immediately after receiving a report of the incident, civil and military officials of Zawal district arrived at the scene and launched rescue operations.
He added that there were no casualties in this incident and all the vehicles have been rescued.

The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, Mullah Amir Khan Muttaqi, spoke by telephone with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, regarding bilateral relations, the regional situation, and the recent tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Minister of Foreign Affairs thanked the United Arab Emirates for its successful mediation in the release of American prisoners in Afghanistan and added that remaining issues should be resolved through bilateral relations and dialogue.
He also, referring to the situation between Afghanistan and Pakistan, stated that the Islamic Emirate wants to resolve problems with Pakistan through dialogue.
Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates called relations between Afghanistan and the United States important and expressed readiness to continue its positive role in this area.
He also said that the tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan are not in the interest of either side and assured that his country would continue its efforts in resolving the problems.
