Important News: Crescent Moon Sighting Committee
Attention to the officials of the central committee and all provinces regarding the crescent moon sighting!
Following the directive of the leadership of the central committee for observing the month of Afghanistan, based on the guidance, all officials and staff responsible for the committees at the provincial and district levels should be present at designated locations where the sighting of the moon is most likely, after the Maghrib (sunset) prayer tomorrow, Wednesday, to observe the month of Shawwal al-Mukarram (Eid al-Fitr) for the year 1447 AH. They should strive with the utmost diligence and through every possible means to sight the moon.
Any precise information regarding the sighting or non-sighting of the moon should be shared with the central crescent moon sighting committee through the provincial courts, and with the Foreign Affairs, Public Relations, and Press Department of the Supreme Court.

The Central Committee for Moon Sighting appeals to all citizens, based on the news, to observe the moon in their respective areas; because observing the moon is a religious obligation of the citizens. Therefore, if any citizen observes the moon and presents themselves to the local court and the Moon Sighting Committee to give testimony, the relevant court will hear their testimony in accordance with religious principles, will verify the witnesses, and then share all information with the Central Committee for Moon Sighting.
