A week ago it was just another day with tinsel. Now just another day with fireworks.

Mainly a response to making days special. Since every second the sun starts an orbit around the sun, it makes little sense to celebrate the day the (Eurocentric) calendar runs out. We celebrate things we cannot control. And fail to control things we could be celebrating: A day of peace for example; A day when everybody has a proper meal; a day when we’re all “those of goodwill.”
