Hanlon's Razor-thin Defense: using the phrase "Hanlon's razor" to suggest incompetence when the available evidence clearly suggests significant malice as a motivation.

In recent months I've seen people (here and on Facebook) invoking Hanlon's Razor as if it were a magical phrase to end all argument, in discussions of Microsoft and other tech giants' anti-consumer behavior, big tech aggressive promotin of #genAI, astroturfed opposition to #UBI, and even once a defense of ICE tactics. Sometimes #HanlonsRazor feels like a fig leaf.

Bei solchen Menschen denke ich immer an Hanlon's Razor (Schreibe nicht der Böswilligkeit zu, was durch Dummheit hinreichend zu erklären ist), dumm im klassischen Sinne dürfte Christoph P. aus H. nicht sein.
