Join us every Wednesday from 4:30 to 6pm. We're on the bike/pedestrian overpass on I-80, just south of University Avenue to help peacefully display one large sign in each direction during evening rush hour. Parking is easiest on the bay side of the bridge at Brickyard Cove Park and Seabreeze Market, near the corner of Frontage Road and University Ave. We’ll have signs large enough to be easily read from the freeway. It can get windy up there, so bring layers. This a local Indivisible event! A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*

What the Flock Forum · Mobilize

Join Troy Indivisible as we host our neighbors, Indivisible Albany and the local De-Flock Troy group, for a forum on the state of surveillance in our area, and how Flock cameras have spread here. Over the past several decades, the United States has experienced a steady and often quiet expansion of surveillance that has reshaped the relationship between the government and the public. What began as targeted intelligence gathering has evolved into a vast ecosystem of data collection, enabled by digital technologies, private-sector partnerships and national security policies that that prioritize preemption over transparency. A striking example of this shift is the rapid adoption of automated license plate reader systems produced by Flock Safety, now deployed by thousands of police departments, public and private entities across the country. The Capital District has seen a rise in the use of Flock cameras, including within the City of Troy, often without meaningful public consent or oversight. We will discuss how Flock camera systems work, where they are, how the data is retained and, more importantly, how this data is being funneled to federal agencies such as ICE to target and track immigrant communities. We will also discuss actions that you can take to fight back against the installation of Flock cameras and demand accountability for those already in use. Please join us on April 14 at 7 pm at 35 State St., Troy for the presentation and discussion. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*

Stop the Cruelty: Westerville protest is at 675 Brooksedge Blvd. This is the Westerville ICE office. The nearest parking is at the Kroger strip mall on Schrock Rd. We also have a group that goes down to the intersection of Schrock and Brooksedge and some of us are visiting 774 Park Meadow Rd., because ICE is renting an office for its legal team in that building. We provide the signs, which have red lettering on a white background and say, “Stop the Cruelty.” We all use the same sign to maximize visual impact. We are a silent protest, although we do talk among ourselves. We have a policy of not hassling ICE officers who wander by. Anger and resentment are Donald Trump's tools, they're not ours. Everyone is welcome!
