While western corporate msm spread headlines and reports on #gangs in #Haiti it is western empire that is the real gang carrying out an #occupation in Haiti to prevent African sovereignty.

Palestine gave us clarity about the nazis in Ukraine, we need this clarity when it comes to Haiti. ☝🏽 🇭🇹 🔥 🕊️

@sofiav Hi! I saw this comment about Lula's political character. While I support Lula generally and see him as a way to get rid of fascist Bolsinaro, what do you make of Lula's tendency to support UN (Really US) intervention in Haiti after so many disasters like the cholera outbreak spread by soldiers on the island? Why doesn't he stand with Haitians struggle for their self-determination? This is my one big critique of Lula.

The UN has given the green light to a US-sponsored resolution authorizing yet another military invasion against Haiti by a multinational coalition. Let’s recall US President Joe Biden’s statement that it wouldn’t matter if “Haiti sank into the Caribbean” when he was a senator before the 1994 US invasion.

Haïtians give their thoughts on trud34u's continued meddling in Haïtian affairs (particularly propping up its state's unelected executive branch with equipment to quell rebellion).

For those not already aware the colonial genocidal state that calls itself "canada" has a long history of interfering in Haïti - in its democracy via coups, and in its general exploitation of its people.
But Haïti too has a yet longer history of resistance - one that continues, and one that so-called "Canadians" would benefit to learn from, whether it be in labour struggles or otherwise.

Welcome! You are invited to join a webinar: The Crisis is Imperialism: Urgent Teach-In on Haiti. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar.

What we hear about Haiti today is a distortion—or outright fabrication—of its social and political reality. Much of what’s said about Haiti lacks historical context, especially when it comes to the unrelenting meddling of the foreign agents and institutions, based in a deep racism that presumes that African/Black people are ungovernable while resenting the implications of Haiti’s historical commitment to Black freedom. Taking all of this into consideration, the Black Alliance for Peace Haiti/Americas Team is hosting a teach-in on the crisis of imperialism in Haiti. This teach-in will not only focus on direct U.S. action, but also seek to pull back the layers and understand how the United States is increasingly delegating military and other interventionist actions through partner countries in the region, and what this means for the future of sovereignty in Haiti and self-determination for African peoples in the Americas. We will hear from Haitian organizers on the ground about the current situation, and get perspectives from across the region including, Canada’s history of intervention in Haiti, CARICOM’s role in the Caribbean and its relationship to Haiti, connections between Jamaica and Haiti’s struggles with violence and imperialist sabotage, U.S. soft power and support of militarization throughout the hemisphere, and the role of “progressive” states in continuing imperialist activity in Haiti. Join BAP on Thursday, November 10, and continue the call: No to Occupation. Yes to Self-Determination in Haiti.
