This time I decided to attempt making a #clipboard a project that is pretty easy and quick to do. The only problem I faced was the "rivets" (i don't know what is their real name), I didn't had the proper tool to secure them, so they are a little bit deformed. My very first handcarved spoon from plum wood treated with linseed oil.
Took me quite a long time (fiddled around with it for quite a while) to arrive to this final result. Closed the knots with sandust (using a 80grid from the same wood) and glue (titebond III). After sanding down the spoon in many places, I carved the entire surface again, to give the whole spoon more individual handmade character.

I found a piece of wood that I had set aside about four years ago and thought was too good to burn. It was already a bit dry and cracked, but managed to carved a spoon out of it freehand. It's simple and not perfectly symmetrical. I had to work around the natural features (branches, warping, wood grain)
Not sure it is more a small long ladle or a bigger long spoon.
