CBS News has removed its London bureau chief Claire Day following tensions over coverage of the Middle East, according to New York Post.

Day, a longtime CBS journalist with nearly 25 years at the network, clashed with editor-in-chief Bari Weiss over editorial decisions related to coverage of Gaza Strip and Iran.

Sources cited by the New York Post said Day had pushed back against certain editorial directions.

A freelance cameraman in the London bureau also accused her of running the office “like a Hamas cell,” prompting an internal investigation.
