I don't know. Note that it was John Ascher, not I, who ID'd that bee!

Augochlora pura is common in my garden. That's what I expect to see. Augochlorella is a surprise. That's my only observation of that species anywhere.

I know that the tegula is important, but I don't know in what way. In my garden, I look at the eye notch, but that's not diagnostic.
