2. Spent time with the wife's 94-year-old aunt, who is still whip smart and a delight to talk with.
3. Watched an episode of our new binge watch mystery series, "My Life Is Murder" starring Lucy Lawless. Crikey!

Star Trek The Best of Enterprise Incidents Magazine, and Westworld 1970s movie on DVD, and 4 Star Trek TOS Novels - I really need to start reading these.
Picked up a book to read on my day off (chilling at an independent coffee shop near DFW so I can pick up a family member as soon as they clear whatever fresh hell U.S. Customs has turned into)...
I bought it a few months ago and got about a third of the way through it. It's kind of an off-the-cuff autobio, not bad.
I look at my "bookmark," and of course, it's the #HalfPriceBooks receipt from when I bought it 😄
I look at the date on the receipt, and I'm a little confused, because it's a couple months after when I recall buying it.
Then I notice the year: 2024
Daaaaaang, I bought this book last year?!? Where does the time even go?
I always forget what a scam selling anything to #halfpricebooks is. Often they will state what you brought in is worthless, then turn around and sell it for a lot.
Now they state one can refuse the offer and take the books back. I have tried that and they state that I cannot do that.
It is better to donate them than get scammed.
Found a few things this week at Half Price Books - A few more Star Trek stories adapted by James Blish - Nearly completes my collection, I think I'm only missing two books now. I do not recommend going to Half Price Books and spending $100 on used CDs...HIGHLY ENOUGH.
Mars Needs Mechanics a game I did pick up from half price books - it sounded interesting - doubt I'll every actually play it - but it has nice retro style cover art - and will make a good addition to my growing collection of board games.

Ace Detective game
This game sounded interested when I saw it at Half price books - but I found it on eBay for about half of what HPB wanted for it - plus it came with bonus Magic The Gathering Cards, and card protectors - that were just inside the box.
Weird thing is I had Dejavu when I opened the box - like I had done this before and found Magic cards - I'm sure I've done this before, but I only have one copy of the game..... So.
Half price books finds - The Fantasy Trip (missing one of the books), and Tales of Known Space: The Universe of Larry Niven - Found this the day after I found out about this series - so looking forward to reading it.
The Fantasy Trip just looked interesting to me, and seem like a good price even thou it is missing one of the books.
