Let’s be honest, buying every book you want to read is expensive and unsustainable. It’s the hard truth that I’ve had to learn despite still having urges to just buy every new release that I’m excited for. Thankfully, there are options out there to make reading more affordable!
✨MY FAVORITE APPS - Libby and Kindle Unlimited have been fueling my hobby for at least the last 2 years. Truly, I could not live without them. While wait times for Libby can be long, especially for new releases, KU is able to fill in those gaps with some amazing reads.
✨FREE RESOURCES - I will never stop plugging libraries, so please go support your local one! It is detrimental to use libraries as much as you can right now.
✨LOW-COST PLACES TO BUY - Thriftbooks, Book Outlet, and Half Price Books are fantastic for building up your dream library. Every book I’ve bought from these websites have been in good condition or better and for incredibly cheap compared to bookstores. Shipping has been quick and so far, I’ve never had issues with them!
I hope this guide has been helpful in providing you with alternatives to buying new! Don’t get me wrong, treating ourselves to new books can be thrilling and fulfilling, but let’s not forget to spread that love around when we can!
