I grabbed a bottle of Tousui Nakanaka aged barley shochu for autumn drinking. I think it was a good idea. Rich, complex, sweet and bitter like dark chocolate.

The cold winds outside are autumn enough to justify this out of season hiyaoroshi.
It's every bit as delicious now as it was last November, and lovely heated and drunk from this gorgeous hagiyaki guinomi.
I'm christening a new #guinomi with #IppakuSuisei junmai ginjo fukurozuri.
The sake is a richly flavored one with dark chocolate and cherry notes, perfect for warming up.
The guinomi is #Hagiyaki from #Kosaian kiln, which is famous for its "seigan blue" glaze.
A beautiful pairing!
