The #Philippines’ meteorological agency #PAGASA has declared the start of the #habagat season aka the southwest monsoon season. 🌧️
While most of the rest of the northern hemisphere is still expecting summer in the next few months, the Philippines is now in its rainy season (hot and wet) leaving the “summer” season (hot and dry) behind.

When I visited family in 1999, I brought this stupidly large Lowe Alpine Contour IV 90+15 expedition pack, but didn't think to bring a daypack.
I stopped by Habagat in #Cebu and bought a really nice daypack, which I used for the rest of the trip. Some time after we got back to the US, my older brother "borrowed" it from me, and I never saw it again.
