It’s that time of year: the pitcher pool is beginning to fill with bog violet blooms! I probably have hundreds of them out there (and they’re always sprouting more from seeds every spring) so given another couple weeks and it’ll be a violet carpet.

This is the prize-winning carob tree. The guide says it's at least 350 years old but could be as old as 500.

Both are sibling Nepenthes (veitchii x burbidgeae) x stenophylla I got as freebies a while back, that just got a much-needed pot upgrade.
