A catastrophic #fire erupted in a residential building in the Tai Po district of #Hong_Kong, resulting in the deaths of at least 44 individuals and leaving approximately 280 more unaccounted for.
According to reports from Al Jazeera, the blaze is believed to have been caused by substandard construction practices. In the wake of the tragedy, three officials associated with the building's construction have been arrested.
