Durch das Montréal-Abkommen über Stoffe, die zu einem Abbau der #Ozonschicht führen (Halogenkohlenwasserstoffe #HKW, speziell Fluorchlorkohlenwasserstoffe #FCKW), konnte die Vergrößerung des Ozonlochs gestoppt werden. In Osnabrück gilt seit dem 1.1.2025:
"Zum Schutz Minderjähriger ist neben dem Verkauf von Lachgas an diese auch die Weitergabe untersagt."

"Ziel dieser Verordnung ist es NICHT, den Missbrauch des starken Treibhausgases N2O zu minimieren bzw. auszuschließen."
Das wäre wohl etwas zuviel verlangt.
Die Studie dazu aus dem Jahr 2009 https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.1176985 stellt fest:
"Limiting future N2O emissions would enhance the recovery of the ozone layer from its depleted state and would also reduce the anthropogenic forcing of the climate system, representing a win-win for both ozone and climate."
