i don't currently play world of ass with any mods, but "freelancer variations" seems really interesting
it even adds the tutorial areas onto the map, and restyles them so that they look like actual places instead of simulation sets built out of plywood
i do hope they find some way to actually add new points onto the map, instead of having the same point shared for two different locations
come to think of it, payout and prestige objectives in hitman freelancer, despite obviously being very videogamey mechanics, would actually make sense in-universe
the ICA is shut down, their existence (as well as all their data, except on 47 himself) is public, and the fact that a whole lot of famous entrepreneurs, criminals, etc. died in suspicious circumstances is definitely a known fact
diana and the agent are now operating alone, presumably seeking financing over some dark-web service
it would be suspicious as hell to outright organize hits on other people like that, though, so it probably works more similarly to a prediction market (in fact, a lot of people IRL argued that prediction markets would become a way for people to call hits on people by arranging precise bets, but real-life prediction markets seem to universally abhor that specific potential abuse scenario and generally do not pay out "death bets" in case someone dies unnaturally)
you could imagine that all those extra conditions that increase the reward work kind of like parlay bets, or ways for the agent to discreetly prove that he is the one responsible for the death(s) in question, rather than someone else
okay, they apparently made it so that all the freelancer mode items that require the delisted conor mcgregor dlc now can be unlocked with the upcoming "world champions" dlc as well
after having played the new wiz khalifa elusive target, i can confirm that, as far as gameplay goes, it is identical to the now-delisted conor mcgregor elusive target
(that is a good thing, imo)
eat it!!
final showdown time
annoyed that when playing in freelancer mode, an unconscious target's body being seen still invalidates "silent assassin", even if the way it fell down counts as an accident and doesn't cause suspicion -- as it doesn't in a regular mission
