NSW beaches are expected to be far too dangerous for coastal activities over the coming days, and lifesavers have issued a warning to rock fishers, swimmers and boaters to stay away from the coastline.
Wave heights of 5-7 metres are being predicted for Forster down to Batemans Bay, while damaging and potentially destructive winds are forecast for the Mid North Coast and upper Hunter.
"The wild weather that is being predicted for the coming days is something we are really cautious of and trying to get ahead of," SLSNSW Deputy President and Chair of Lifesaving, Joel Wiseman said.
"We really want to stress this message to rock fishers in particular as the winter months are when we see a large number of rock fishers visiting our coastline."
We're encouraging you to stay safe and stay away from the coastline.
