Two of the major forces that have led to Guy Fawkes Night being smeared out into #GuyFawkesFortnight are (a) Diwali, and (b) the desire to have family friendly celebrations, and the accommodation to the working week, that leads to people scheduling things for the nearest weekend rather than on the exact day itself.
Looking at all of these events, it seems to me that (b) is also making #MayDay become 1st of May Week. #CoventryCharterhouse has celebrated as late as the 6th in years past, according to what I can find.
Next Monday is, of course, a Bank Holiday.
That's because #Warwickshire celebrates the 1st of May either earlier or later than the rest of the world. (-:

Collect all of the #skulls that you made on the 2nd. Yes, including the ones that blew over the fence into your neighbour's garden. Knock on the door and ask politely.
It is time to fold them and store them in a box ready for next year. #GuyFawkesFortnight is on to its next stage already.
Again, a special rule for the task master: The box may not be #brown, either.

#GuyFawkesFortnight begins in earnest this evening. The late night bangs in gardens have actually been going since #Diwali, although the past week has been relatively mild.

There were major #Diwali #fireworks displays last night in at least three places, two of them residential celebrations by the looks of things, along my trip ferrying a relative across the country.
In one place where I actually stopped, they set a whole load of pets off. I could hear the doggies barking at the bangs from the other end of the street, they were that worked up.
Diwali continues for almost all of this week, and #GuyFawkesFortnight begins about 10 days away, pet owners.
@BruceShark I have had music playing loudly, but there has been the occasional flash in the sky. It was busier during the week.
Driving back from a "delivery" this evening, I got home too late to catch the local Blitz reënactors.
Plenty of them were visible from the motorways, though.
Not quite as spectacular as the time several years ago seeing fireworks all across Birmingham from the vantage point of the M6, accompanied by Annie Lennox, but North Oxfordshire's clouds were glowing as I passed through it.
