Guided meditation for gunzels

Welcome to today’s guided meditation for gunzels.

Find somewhere comfortable. Maybe an old upright hard leather seat with a spring that pokes into your bottom.

You can try playing some background music. The clack-clack of wheels over an unwelded track joint often works well.

Now slowly take deep breaths in and out. It is totally okay to make sounds like a steam engine pushing up a steep hill.

With each exhalation, let go of any negative thoughts. There are no rail replacement buses on this journey.

You are entering a long dark tunnel. At the end of the tunnel is a light. When you reach the light I want you to focus on the carriage that you are riding in. When was it made? Who made it? What is the carriage number in the set?

Ignore the beautiful scenery outside, the other passengers, unless they say something incorrect about the train. Then gently chide them and correct them.

Repeat to yourself the mantra, “There are no dictators, no surveillance, no slavery, no collective punishment, no inequalities, no discrimination, no injustice, no buses, cars, boats or planes in this world. Only trains.”

“Only trains.”
