Gun sales are plummeting across NSW, with the industry calling for a proposed buyback to be scrapped. But a public health expert says safety must take priority over retail concerns.
The #DOJ sued #Colorado on Wednesday over a #state #law banning #HighCapacityMagazines, which was passed after a 2012 #MassShooting at a movie theater in Aurora, CO. The report, a preliminary assessment by #DHS's Office of Intelligence & Analysis dated April 27, assessed that the suspect Cole Allen had "multiple social & political grievances." It concluded that the #IranWar "may have contributed to his decision to conduct the attack," citing social media posts from Allen that criticized #US actions in the #war.

Texas police say a man shot five people and two are dead at a shopping mall north of Dallas. The shooting happened Tuesday in area known as Koreatown in Carrollton. Police say it wasn't a random act of gunfire and that the victims knew the attacker, who was later arrested after a short chase on foot. Video posted online showed officers with their guns drawn as they walked past doors at K Towne Plaza. Agents from the FBI and another federal agency were among law enforcement at the scene.
