Turned out to be exactly what I wanted! Great sounding wah, clean or into gain, easy push to activate, nice bright LEDs. Can customize to tone down the resonant spike, and switch wah to a warmer freq range. Great taper in both wah and volume modes. Nice grippy surface, super solid build, lightweight. This is it! 2026 board. Don't see myself swapping anything out. Analog signal never gets converted again post-wireless. Can be played ad-hoc, or with extremely specific programming. Don't know of any pedals that have the same combo of attributes—inspiring sounds, ease of use, audio fidelity, midi flexibility, genre flexibility.

News from #PédaleVite: I made some changes internally and I have now the ability to show signal-related information on the GUI.

So I added or improved the GUI of a few effects. Below, on the screenshots: the compressor, the adaptive noise gate and the multi-band noise gate. The latter has now an automatic calibration system, so by pressing a single button the noise is optimally eliminated. Much simpler to use!

Everything still works with Pédale Vite v1 and its 128×64 1-bit display. A bit messy at such a low resolution and slow to refresh (forget Pédale Vite v3 @ 60 fps) but perfectly usable.

I just added a standard noise gate to my #PédaleVite #GuitarEffects. I already use a multi-band noise gate (called Noise Bleach) at input of the effect chain to selectively remove most of the noise without cutting the sound too early on long fading notes. But with a high gain distortion, this leaves some unwanted dirt after a chug.

So I added a second, more standard noise gate after a distortion, with the input as sidechain for volume analysis. Works well!

In the examples below (60 dB of distortion gain), I use a single coil pickup to collect some glorious digital noise from the computer and a bit of hum from a transformer nearby.

I added a new effect in #PédaleVite: Granola, a granular delay.

I’m still experimenting with the concept, but the result is interesting. Feezing the delay offers the best of it but it’s a bit hard to setup quickly for live use in a song. I’ll proabably have to explore the looper UI logic to propose a suitable user interface.

So there are a lot of products to prevent pedal knobs from being moved during transit. Many of them are $10-15 *per knob*.

BUT these here $0.69 neoprene washers from Ace Hardware are just as good!
