Starting with today’s new arrival, Tone City’s King of Blues pedal.
One thing I'm still missing on Mastodon is the #GuitarTwitter community. Most of the time I didn't understand a word they said, but their bright eyed enthusiasm and friendly energy were second to none.
Oh, and there was the time when #SteveBullock (AKA He Whos Shall Be Eternally Tagged Into Guitar Threads) remote-designed the layout of my amateur guitar pedal board. I adore #RandomActsOfKindness, and this one was done to me.
The #GuitarTwitter community over on BirdChan has (seemingly) been banned by Twitter.
Presumably because it was a wholesome and supportive community, and therefore nothing like the regular Internet guitar forums (or Twitter itself these days).
I'm genuinely gobsmacked by that.

It only had my R0 on it at the time 😱
I've finally found the time to sit down and put together an Axe-FX 3 preset for my #Synergy amp rig.
Signal chain is:
- guitar
- Axe-FX 3
- pedal board
- Synergy
- Axe-FX 3 for power amp, cab, delay and reverb
No need for a real power amp, no need for an attenuator.
Early results sound very good indeed - but I've only tested this preset with a single Synergy module.

At the weekend, I did a live #CoffeeAndKlon, looking at the #PRS #Horsemeat. Towards the end, I said that I was still preferring my beloved #SHOD.
It’s the #Horsemeat that has stayed on the board all week, not the #SHOD 🙂
Both sound great. My #SHOD is going nowhere. Some days I prefer the #SHOD. This week, I’ve been preferring the Horsemeat.
Although a new contender has entered the game …

tl;dr - if you need a fairly generic overdrive with nice mids that won't steal the limelight from other instruments, it's worth getting one.
