Hey #mastodon and #musodon, I'm looking for a guitar strap that's made in Europe and preferably hand made from durable materials. And it has to look cool. Not very fond of leather straps though so you can rule those out. Anybody any ideas? Thanks!!

When I learned about a technique called tablet weaving in 2015, I immediately knew I wanted to use it for guitar straps. 10 years later, I'm still making guitar straps, and I've been lucky enough that almost all the straps I've made have found a guitar for carry.

Overnight I dyed my diy belt guitar strap black, using Rit dye & a glass pitcher for no-mess. I liked the old olive color, but it was important to match the leather ends for a less diy appearance.

Made a strong, comfortable guitar strap out of old belts (cloth, leather). Had to use zipties, as I broke two darning needles trying to stitch together. Ziptie ratchets can be hidden with a glued-on button.
