How on Earth did James Woods and Kevin Sorbo get dropped from Trump's list of Hollywood "ambassadors"?
With honorees like John Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone, Trump also had a perfect chance to rehabilitate Harvey Weinstein.
Saw an item on the blower that Gibson didn't find out about this til he saw it on social media. I wonder if Trump bothered to tell any of them beforehand.

The degenerate 34-time convicted felon, twice impeached serial liar, disgustingly foul, sexual assaulting psychopath, insurrection inciting traitor, thief of classified nuclear secrets, and nasty foul tub of guts does everything for the same reason: To insure that he is the center of attention and that no one -- especially Elon -- gets more attention than he does.
And the press plays right along with it.

Resisting the strong urge to exclaim "Ipso facto nutso!", I wonder if Thiel used ChatGPT (or ChatGPT used Thiel).

While one could criticise the FT for publishing this, it catches the zeitgeist of bold claims for AI, woolly ideas that tech bros call "thinking" and the tech industry-RW political complex (apologies to Eisenhower).

By publishing this, the FT brings Thiel's views to a wider audience, which can make up its own mind - if they can decipher his op-ed.

That's a wonderful -- and very plausible -- conspiracy theory about Stanley Kubrick and the moon landing, Ricki.
Thank YOU for sharing it.
My current conspiracy theory of choice is that Big Money looked at the internet in its early days and concluded that all that accurate information so readily available to so many ordinary people would eventually be bad for business.
So they proceeded to make the tubes and trucks as unreliable as possible; finally making the information superhighway strictly a conduit that disgorges huge amounts of cash directly to them, providing as little value to others as possible.

Today I learned that the multi-talented Judy Garland only appeared in a small fraction of MGM studio's Andy Hardy movies with the similarly talented Mickey Rooney. (1930s through 1940s, and 1 in 1958. )
Nevertheless, when times get rough -- as they are now on the verge of a fascist takeover -- I can be heard to say, "Let's get the whole gang together and put on a show in Judge Hardy's barn"!

  Looks like the clear winner of the poll was "3 Raccoons, 1 Coat," which I have now copyrighted.
However, since twting the poll, I've become enamored with the "Guillotine_Jones" name.
I like its double meaning of a person with the family name of Jones and the personal name Guillotine, and a person with a strong urge to use a guillotine.
It just seems to fit our times so well, n'est pas?
