Is there some in-joke in the #discworld universe concerning "could of" and "should of" instead of "could have" and "should have"?
It's wrecking my head! This spelling is only ever used in reported speech.

In letzter Zeit muss ich sehr oft an dieses Zitat denken:
#TerryPratchett #Discworld #GuardsGuards #LordVetinari #CaptainVimes #CityWatch
Guess who scored a ticket to go see Guards Guards in the Kikker Theatre in Utrecht next month. You get only one, so you better make it count!
#TerryPrachett #guardsguards #englishtheatreutrecht #Utrecht #stephenbriggs
My first attempt at reading every #Discworld novel in release order ended part-way through #GuardsGuards some... jeez, like 8 years ago.
Now my memory is pretty crap at the best of times, but I don't recall getting up to the part where they get the fancy new HQ way back then. So I'm now further along than I've ever been!
(I also [kinda] snuck #Hogfather in out of order, because we had the movie script version of it that made for good bedtime reading for our youngest. Still mostly counts!)
"Knowledge=energy=matter=mass; a good bookshop is just a genteel Black Hole that knows how to read."
Read #GuardsGuards, my first #Discworld novel.
#TerryPratchett makes me question my understanding of the English language, because boy, does he pull out words I had never heard before at times.
Sam Vines is a fantastic lead and I liked every character.
Heard about how good and relatively standalone #SmallGods is, too.
Yet: When I return to the series, I will do so with #MenAtArms. #books
