Picked up some celery leaves to make a stew.

I have been harvesting celery from the 4 bunch I bought at the farmers market 2 years ago and planted them in a pot on the balcony.

It's the best 4 Euros I've ever spent on the market.

Tea time recipe flashback from the 70s... Beef stew made with veg from the garden, and vegetable suet dumplings. Nice and warming on a cold afternoon, even though it's probably not pretty enough for Instagram. #cooking #food #potatoes #growyourown #GrowOwnFood #vegetables #homemade

Still getting bounty from the garden - Celeriac and leeks for a stew today.

I have a lot of mint plants on the balcony, but this one has really large leaves.

Perfect for making mint tea.

First tomatoes of 2026(well just the flowers for now).

Started a bunch mini tomatos from seeds, I thought they were tiny-tim but I'm afraid they're the type that grows up to 60cm and produces a lot of fruits (don't know the name, bought the plant in Sweden, 4 years ago).

Hi home cooks / gardeners I've picked some parsley seeds because they're nice in a salad
Do you think I should lightly bake them so they store better?

Had to put a cover over pepper seedlings because our pigeons liked to dig out the dirt.

I have way too many peppers and hopeful I can trade them
Tomatoes growing well too.

A black spot in the middle of a chitting potato. Dont plant? Any of the variety? Any of the delivery?

The apples are enjoying the rain. I am sure they are bigger than 2 days ago.

#Seattle specific for food gardeners and would-be gardeners; the first of the two annual Tilth start sales, tomorrow (2026/03/21). Edible plants, though IME both sales have all kinds of plants, we just have a long planting season.

The Rainier site is delightful, the springtime energy is great. Note to self: go with a list and a realistic budget of what you have SPACE for. There's always one more fascinating little plant...
