I want SFBA.social to grow!  I’ve been personally investigating ways for our instance to advertise to local users with the power of peer and on-foot advertising. I believe one of the best parts of our instance is that it is *local*. We are not aiming to be a mega instance, but offer the platform as a space for Bay Area residents to connect to the fediverse, and I want more of our neighbors to know about it.

I have several questions for you, and I would love to hear any and all ideas you have for sharing SFBA.social (or any other regional instances) with our neighbors!

If you want to get your congressperson on here (if they aren't here yet) look up who else in your state who they might know is already here and email/tweet at them about about "so-and-so is on mastodon but I can't find yooooou."

I think it is effective and will probably work on politicians in other countries too, just find their peers who were early adopters and let them know they need to keep up. #congress, #growmastodon
