An industry-created grocery code of conduct in Canada has been drafted. It includes rules for fair dealing in the negotiations between suppliers and grocers.

Two big grocers -- Loblaws and Walmart of Canada -- decided "not to participate", "warning it could lead to higher prices for Canadians" (so... pass on the "fairness" to consumers and charge more than $40 for 5 pieces of chicken??)
