Do you use single-use energy gels, powder sachets or plastic ziploc bags for your adventures, races, big days out in the mountains and ultra-marathons?

DirtBags are the first, ultralight, reusable and home-compostable zip bags designed to organise and carry your fuel and essential items for long days out on the trail.

I have been working on prototypes to replace single-use energy gels and plastic ziploc bags whilst still giving you the convenience of portion control with gels/powders and the option to carry small essentials, mandatory gear and spare kit in the larger DirtBags.

You use them on an adventure, wash them and then reuse, again and again.

DirtBags have been created to stop a linear waste model, especially when single use plastics are used in sports and hobbies based on nature, this doesn't make sense.

Instead, we should be focusing on circular life cycles and a reduction in the demands on the planet.

IT'S POSSIBLE - Paul Youd, Ultra-Marathons at 87

My latest short film and documentary in which features the now infamous Paul Youd, the young whipper snapper is a mere 87 years old and got in to trail running, long distance walking and ultra-marathons just a handful of years ago.

In this film we helped support and documented his journey around the entirety of a 50km ultra-marathon around Bath.

His main support team were some lovely people from Running on Plants and other Vegan Runners.

Paul wants to share his story of being an animal rights activist, fundraising for @vivacharity and how he got healthier moving to a plant-based diet over 20 years ago. You'll find his fundraising link in the description of the film on Youtube.

He is on his way to 100 ultra-marathons before he is 100 years old and today he is also attempting another 50km, the Thames Path Challenge, good luck to Paul today on that and continuuing his aim of 100 ultras over the next 12 years.

Silent Running Arctic Norway.

Here is a shot of myself and Otter making our way slowly up The Queens Route on Flakstad in Lofoten, Norway as autumn was turning in to winter.

Can you spot us slowly making our way up on the left with the ocean and a majestic scene making up the backdrop to the right.

This year the biggest aim for the channel is to be as consistent as possible and to move more towards my beliefs of environmentalism and what we can do for the trail and natural world we all love so much.

With the aim of releasing a video or documentary on the 1st of each month. I already have a few jobs lined up and documentaries to work on as well as a few personal projects to be released that i have been working on and off for up to 2 years in some cases.

I will be guiding the channel and its content more towards the trail and what we can do for it in our day to day lives, this will be called Project Trail and I will be releasing a video about this in the coming weeks highlighting the projects i'll be releasing and promoting how we can do more for the trail as I find the industry and this nature hobby moves more towards consumerism and anti-environmental practices.
