Castlefield Sky Garden is a project to transform a derelict viaduct into an inspirational urban Park. Phase 1 developed 120m, Phase 2 will expand this across the full bridge to provide a green through route over the streets and canals. I can't wait 🤗

Access to trees and greenspaces is consistently low across English cities, according to a new study led by the University of Leeds. Researchers used a recognized three-part framework for measuring tree and greenspace access in urban neighborhoods in Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, York, Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent and Plymouth, and found that at best, only 2% of buildings in any city region met all three components of the rule.

There, a 450-year-old oak tree was brutally butchered and Spurs’ plans to develop the park involve cutting down 207 trees, including veteran and mature trees, and taking over most of the park for their elite private use"
