On independence of #Cyprus in 1960, #GreekCypriot politics were dominated by #enosis, union with Greece. #ThisDayInHistory in 1963 began #BloodyChristmas, a #pogrom against #TurkishCypriots that ended their joint control, displaced 30,000 of them, and destroyed 100+ villages.

"La La Love" is a song by #GreekCypriot singer #IviAdamou. It was chosen to represent #Cyprus at the #EurovisionSongContest2012. The song was released in Europe on 3 February and in China on 14 April. The song was included in the euro edition of her debut studio album, #SanEnaOniro (2011).
